Smith Mountain Lake, VA (Nov. 21, 2008) – GO Agency earned four Summit Awards for outstanding work in public relations from the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), which held its annual Summit Awards Gala last night at the Vinton War Memorial. The Summit Awards recognize the best practice of public relations in Southwest Virginia and highlight the creative and effective ways in which communications impact our lives.
GO Agency won the Silver Summit Award in the category of Website Development for the design and launch of www.watersedgecc.com. The website was produced for The Water’s Edge Country Club at Smith Mountain Lake, which is owned and operated by The Willard Companies. A Gold Summit was awarded in the Print Publications category for work on a pocket folder brochure for The Farm, an environmentally friendly real estate project also being developed by The Willard Companies.
The highlight of the evening came when keynote speaker Mike Stevens, Director of Communications for the City of Salem, presented GO Agency President Micah Gaudio the coveted Lin Chaff Award for Creativity. The award recognized artistic design for the “101 Reasons” campaign created for Prudential Waterfront Properties.
“It’s particularly nice to be recognized by a group of such well-respected peers,” Gaudio said. “We are extremely honored with all four awards and want thank Chris Finley, Marketing Director for The Willard Companies, who encouraged us to enter the PRSA Awards. Without his guidance, we wouldn’t have won any of these awards.”
GO Agency also earned the Community Partnership Gold Summit Award for its work on the “Closer Than You Think!” campaign for the Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce.
